Search the web—plant trees!

Ecosia is the search engine that plants trees in the areas that need it the most. Ecosia has planted over 58 million trees and counting in areas including Indonesia, Madagascar, and Brazil. Ecosia publishes its monthly financial reports,

doesn’t store any privacy data (or sell it either!), and is “carbon-negative,” meaning that every Ecosia search actually removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

We’re working to adopt Ecosia as the official search engine of the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Use this link to install Ecosia on your web browser and like the campaign on Facebook to help us build momentum! This link will help us keep track of how many trees UNCW plants by using Ecosia.
If you’re interested in helping us post flyers around UNCW and Wilmington, here’s a flyer you can use.

Thank you to 350 UNCW and UNCW VSA for supporting this initiative.
